Just a few ideas to jumpstart BSLC:

1) Organize a spring meeting.

2) A Facebook page.

3) A camping trip or local hike (Maybe a nice hike up to Stackrock after the snow melts and it's warmer outside)

Anybody else have an idea of how to get things going again?

I'm really liking the idea of outdoor activities to help unite the group...

We definitely need a Spring meeting.   I think we use to do it on the third Sunday of every month.  Should we do that again?

And I like the outdoor activities idea.  Hikes, potlucks, camping trips...Now that the warm weather is almost here, we can get some on the calendar.

Perhaps a spring camping trip at Bruneau Sand Dunes?

Yeah!  Spring camping trip sounds great!  Bruneau would be a good location...or somewhere up toward Idaho City?

Something else that occurred to as a possible outdoor activity is putting together a softball game/league.  Whatcha think?  Only problem with that is I don't have any equipment...so maybe not that good of an idea.   Cheesy

Having monthly group gatherings sounds great as I know I only joined BSLC a few months ago and there are new members joining often.  It would be nice to put faces to all the members and get to know each other through more than just posts  Wink!  I would be willing to help with event planning or with anything that needed to be done.

Outdoor activities sound great for the gatherings especially with spring coming on.  I'm sure we are all looking for reasons to come out of hibernation and have some fun!

Social networking has really taken off which makes the suggestion to do a face book page a good idea!!

Looking forward to these events!

I will work on getting a Facebook page up and running.  I just need to figure out where I stored the BSLC logo...

John W and I discussed maybe April 23rd for the first potluck meeting of the year.  Food seems to bring people together.  How does that date sound to everybody?

Sounds like a good idea Tom... I wish I had the money to do something like that but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Several members have some pretty cool garden setups, perhaps we can organize a few meeting/field trips this summer.  Anybody want to volunteer their urban homestead?

Hey Tom, have you been involved with the co-housing project?  If not, you may want to contact them because they're basically doing what you're talking about...without the camping part, though.

I do not know just what to offer, but this is what I have.  I am the market manager for Middleton Farmers Market and could offer the club a booth spot for use.  It could be used as a fund raiser, a way to get the word to the public, give classes, or what ever you think might help out.
