I bought this at the Boise Co-op this past Saturday.  I started watching a food movie on instant Netflix and some dude was talking about the benefits of raw foods so when I saw this I thought I'd try it out.  It wasn't too bad really.  It definitely has a banana bread flavor with the chewiness of fruit leather (yum).  All in all it was pretty good, I think there were a few more different flavors from the same company so I think I will try those out later.

I will give this one a:  Smiley Smiley Smiley out of  Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

My goal is to try one new snack every week and update this thread with a photo and review, stay tuned for more.  Grin

Pirate's Booty: The snack to which all others are measured against.  I love this stuff.  Available at Fred Meyer or The Boise Co-Op.

Made from puffed rice and corn, blended with real aged cheddar cheese and baked perfectly.

I give it:  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin out of  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

This weekend I tried a Gorge Delights Pear Strawberry JustFruit Bar.  It boasts being a wheat, dairy, gluten, and nut free snack with fruit grown in the Northwest (Washington to be exact--not known if it is organic, I emailed the company but haven't heard back yet).  No artificial flavors or added sugar, always a good thing.

And the taste: think fruit leather in a bar form.  Being the equivalent of 2 whole fruit servings these would be great to take hiking or backpacking as a quick snack or dessert.

I will give this snack a  Grin Grin Grin out of  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Have you tried Scott's bars?  I think that's what they're called...something like that anyway.  They're made in Meridian and are pretty good.

I think an interesting addition to these reviews might be something like cost per calorie.  When I'm shopping for a bar, it's typically for an active sport like running or hiking and I want the most bang for my buck.
