email alerts - links and message viewing

We've had issues with the email alerts having broken links in them.  I *think* these have been resolved but in case you find otherwise please let us know.


Also, I'm wondering if we can get the message/reply displayed directly in the email for quick reference.  Possible?  That'd be dandy.

You're correct about the links in the emails...they should be working fine now.  If anyone has any issues, please let us know!

Including the message in the notification email is not something that we can set as the default in this version (1.1.8 ) of the forum.  Supposedly that feature will be available in the next version.  In the meantime, it is an option you can activate within your profile (see the attached image):

1)  Click on "Profile" in the menubar at the top of the page (just under the BSLC logo).
2)  On the left, under "Modify Profile", click on "Notifications and Email".
3)  The fourth checkbox should be checked if you want to receive the content of the posts in your notification emails.  If it's not checked, click on it to check it.
4)  Click on "Save".

Now, the next time you receive an email alert it should contain the contents of the posted reply. 

Please do not reply to the email alerts, however.  You will still need to come to the forum to post your reply.

I hope that helps for now, at least until we can upgrade to the next version.
