The last two weekends have been spent constructing the new chicken coop in our backyard.  Despite the uncooperative weather things are moving along nicely.

I already told you this, but it's looking great.  I don't remember if I already asked you this, but what are you going to use for roofing on the run?   Also, are you going to put anything around the bottom to keep the chickens from digging out and/or critters digging in?

We are using corrugated, galvanized metal roof material on the run.  I am going to get sand and fill it in and will  likely bury some of the wire mesh a few inches under the ground.  I hope they like it enough they won't want to dig out and run away!
