Just a quick post to get it on the board that used inner tubes from bikes - and almost anything else - can be dropped off at WorldAglow and the Costume Shoppe in Garden City, Hyde Park Cycle Sports in Hyde Park.  ReRides is a new project that turns used inner tubes into bags and other items using clean and green washing, sewing and assembly techniques. Plus $1 goes to Cans for Cures and other nonprofits.

Great info, Dave.  I know I always have a collection of old bike tubes that sit around waiting for a good use.  Sounds like ReRides has come up with the solution!

This is a great group headed up by Mike of WorldAglow who is really trying to get people to adopt Solar LED and other great technologies.  They just finished designing a new bike saddle bag - I just ordered one too.  http://tinyurl.com/lm7jkc
